It is with great sadness that I report the loss of Les Dexter. Les passed away in June 2011. He will be sadly missed and our thoughts go out to his family. Les was a life long supporter of the Coventry Table Tennis League.

When I started playing Les was playing for Courtaulds on Lockhurst Lane. He was playing at the time of very good players like Alan Bury and Bill Bevins and many more.

He was always a gentleman on court and off court, he was also a very good player and played for many years.

Les had a very talented son namely Mark who played for Phoenix and was one of Coventry’s top players.

Les made many friends and will be sadly missed by everyone.
